If you love learning new things as much as I do, you’ll want to check out The Chattery if you’re spending time in Chattanooga. This amazing space is a nonprofit organization that believes in educating the community by providing fun, affordable and accessible classes, and workshops. The majority of their classes are for adults, but in some of their classes they are able to have a teen to join with an adult, so just reach out if you’re interested. They also have kid-focused workshops from time to time.
During our first week in Chattanooga, my mom and I took a lotion bar class and it was so much fun. We learned from an awesome teacher, measured and mixed up our ingredients, added the scents of our choice, and then took home 6 adorable lotion bars to enjoy. I keep one in my purse and love having this reminder of my time in Chattanooga with me all the time.
The space was totally accessible, including their kitchen and bathrooms. There’s a handicapped placard parking spot out front, but all the parking is pretty close and easy to roll from. As an added bonus, they also have a pop-up location of Sleepyhead Coffee right inside!
