Like a kid in a candy shop! I have to admit, we’ve made a few visits to the Savannah’s Candy Kitchen in the City Market. The candies are just so good, and the staff is super sweet. It’s a bit mesmerizing to watch the pralines get scooped out of the hot heavy pot and onto the marble to cool. Everything we’ve tried, from the pralines to the chocolate-covered marshmallows, is delicious.
It’s worth the time to pop in if you’re nearby, especially if you’ve never tried a praline, since they’re handing out free samples all day long!
This location is mostly accessible. The entrance from the center of the City Market was nice and flat, so it was easy to roll. The door on the street side has a small lip, but nothing I couldn’t manage. However, they do have another room off of the large showroom that requires one step up. This meant some of the bulk candies, like jelly beans, were out of reach for us. So we stuck with the freshly made goodies, which is what we wanted anyway.
