Ribs with a view! That’s what you’ll find when you head to Sugar’s Ribs in Chattanooga. Perched on the side of a hill—you can’t miss the sign if you’re driving on the freeway—this place offers up some delicious bbq and an impressive selection of side dishes. We tried their ribs along with a smoked sausage “mini-q” sandwich, plus their grilled okra & onions, mac & cheese, mayo slaw, turnip greens, and cornbread… phew! We were SO full when we were done, and we had tons to take back to our Airbnb for lunch the next day. As you can see they also offer tons of house-made sauces to spice up your meal even more.
Even on a rainy, foggy afternoon, the friendly service at Sugar’s made up for the weather. You order at the counter when you come in and then pick your table where the wait staff delivers your food and ample drink refills. We were so impressed by the service, especially the hot towels they brought at the end of our meal to clean up our sticky fingers! They have indoor and outdoor seating, but to avoid the rain we stayed inside this time. They have one handicapped placard parking space right by the door and a walkway with a little bit of an incline to enter. You’ll find booths and tables with chairs, so you can pick which works best for you.
