We have an important tradition in our family. As soon as we arrive at our Airbnb in a new city, we order delivery or take-out pizza. It’s our best way of keeping everyone happy, especially after a long travel day, and allows us to focus on unpacking and getting settled into our new “home”. Empire Slice Pizza was our first taste of Tulsa. It feels like a local’s place and is right by the entertainment venues in the Arts District—conveniently right down the street from where we were staying. Since it was sold by-the-slice, we were able to get our usual favorites and try out some new combinations at the same time. It was a perfect quick bite for our first afternoon.
We just grabbed our slices to go, but Empire Slice would make a fun place to dine in as well. The walls are covered with graffiti-style murals and plastered with retro posters. They have a number of regular-height tables with chairs, and a row of booths as well, with plenty of room to roll in between.
