Feeling bleu?

Feeling bleu?

If you have a case of the mid-week blues, have I got the shop for you! Bleu Fox Cheese Shop in Chattanooga’s Southside community. Inside you’ll find wall-to-wall yumminess! Coolers and shelves full of all sorts of treats, but spaced far enough that you can get your wheelchair through the aisles and still see everything on display. It’s part cheese and gourmet shop, part casual restaurant.

My personal favorite is the ooey, gooey, stretchy, melty, fun grilled cheese. There are a couple of tables out front, and a few towards the back of the shop. Even a small kids space in the back near the tables. I loved everything about this place, especially the friendly service. You can dine in, or take food to go. You can even call ahead to place your order from their regular menu, or we saw some of their beautiful cheese trays waiting for pickup that would be perfect to have for a night in at your Airbnb. Funny story, one day we were having a FOOD EMERGENCY, and called to place an order for a “desperately needed ruben”. They had our order ready quickly, and swipe right to see the cute note on our to-go box.

One small note for wheelchair users, there is about a 1″ bump at the entry door threshold, just pop a small wheelie or have a friend assist you for a moment. There’s a parking lot on the side of the building or street parking along the front. Note! The folks inside said the owners of the lot are VERY SERIOUS about paying for parking, so just make sure you pay for enough time.

So head on over and explore some new cheese, or maybe a premium chocolate bar. What’s your favorite kind?
