Super sleepy Monday mornings mean heading out in search of some caffeine and something yummy. Luckily, I’d had several people suggest I check out the Coffee House on Cherry Street. Can you spot me trying to hide my yawn while I check out the coffee menu?
The Coffee House on Cherry Street has been serving up coffee, breakfast, pastries, and gluten-free cakes, cookies, and pies to Tulsa for 15 years; and I can see why this shop is a local hot spot. We tried a few of their coffee drinks, and some of their breakfast offerings including the quiche of the day, a cheesy sausage roll, and their breakfast tacos. We were all impressed by the quality and portion size of the foods and could have easily taken back armfuls of their delicious-looking baked goods to our Airbnb. I loved the cozy coffee shop vibe, they even had books and a chess set to help pass the time!
Accessiblity-wise, they’ve made it easy.
Just look for their side door with the ramp, it’s easy to spot if you look for their colorful mural along the wall. As soon as your roll inside you’ll be greeted by their friendly staff and their INCREDIBLE display of baked goods. We were all oohing and ahhing as soon as we saw it. Inside, the space was a little snug, like most good cozy coffee shops. They have a few tables that were easy to roll up to, as well as comfy couches if you’d rather transfer. Patio seating is available too, you’ll just need to go through the cafe to be on the right level. During busy times you might have to wait a bit for a table, but it’s worth it for the quality eats. Their restrooms are back down a hallway and were spacious enough for average-sized wheelchairs.
I’ve had a blast so far discovering all the different districts in Tulsa, including the Cherry Street District. Do you have a favorite coffee shop in Tulsa?
